Eric - the Kaiser plan is certainly one of the least expensive. There are also a variety of other less expensive plans than the one I referenced, which is an "A" plan - go to any doctor or dentist, 20% deductible until out of pocket limit is reached ($1K for individual, $2K family limit), many things (like certain checkups, ER service, etc.) are covered 100%. With 5 kids I found that I hit the deductible pretty quickly every year.
