Re: RHK-"The Last Inch"- Electric Utilities Short-Range View of Telecom Service rhk.com Latest on electric utilities' efforts at datacomms etc. Mentioned in the article is a new industry alliance, HomePlug: homeplug.com that is seemingly attempting to establish some sort of standards. I'm hoping petere or anyone else can illuminate this process of standards setting for me. I'd imagine that at some point, the IEEE, TIA/EIA, FCC, FERC and ITU would all want to have a say about how these standards are to come about. Any comments welcomed.
