Peggylynn --

Thanks for filling in the background to the Netherlands plant. I don't know which components are made there so if you or anyone else knows, I'd be interested. I'm also curious what's being made in Australia. I believe they have new facilities there, as well.

It's a full-time job keeping track of all the activity in the industry.

Incidentally, the filing is now up on FreeEdgar:

I don't think you have to register.

Peggy-

In this game of selling to a few major customers, KK is just playing it straight....a good thing to do, because his customers know as much about his business as he does, and can smell a lie a thousand miles away...so he is doing a smart thing to simply admit where he has problems.

Telecomm customers not only test a large sample of the parts coming out of the plant(s), but also go over every inch of the facility and paperwork and even individual operators on a periodic basis.

The parts must be reliable, or the Telecomm company loses big money fixing the fibers, getting sued for loss of services, etc.

That is the very reason the parts can command a high premium...they really are worth what they cost...and precisely why SDLI and JDSU are good bets for long term buy and hold...
