Jacob the fed has never gotten it right. Its like a 16th century surgeon, it can cut the leg off to stop the infection but you will end up bleeding to death. If your hope is in the fed then stick your head between your legs and kiss your A$$ goodbye. The underlying inflation rate is just starting, if fed raises 50pts will help but fed is printing way to much money. The printing of money is what will cause inflation. The big tech stocks will feel tighter margins, higher capital costs, and rising comodity costs. EVEN IF ECONOMY SLOWS. Their only choice will be to raise prices. How will the fed raising rates change that?

Nice post, Jacob. I love the point about the dollar. It must always be remembered that the question is - The dollar relative to what? This at least partly explains why the current account deficit can be awful and the dollar strong.
