i think they take orders from WS, or there's at least a tacit complicity involved. after all WS is their advertising bread and butter, and who's interested in negative stuff when you can cheerlead? like most other participants they have a vested interest in the bubble. without it, who would want to watch CNBS? and who would then want to advertise? and who would want to pay all those big fat salaries, and where would their stock options end up? so their self-interest is pretty clearly defined...of course this has nothing to do with independent reporting. it's like a 24/7 infomercial. good night!
