Pomp,

If the proposed shortage of SDRAM materializes and price increases, this is supposed to be bad for RDRAM.

We've heard from the bears that it's bad for RMBS when SDRAM prices are low because the price differential is too great. We've heard that it's bad when SDRAM prices are high because the manufacturers make more profit on SDRAM and have less incentive to build RDRAM. In fact, I seem to remember asking one of them once what the optimal, not-too-low and not-too-high price for SDRAM would be <G>. As long as the price delta keeps decreasing and as long as Intel continues to reiterate support, I think we're in good shape.
