I think the way it is usually calculated is by the tick

SI and most of the places I've seen it describe it as:

Money flow is the dollar value of the upticks minus the dollar value of the downticks.

I was looking at the WSJ and saw that they had a Money flow section with some decent aggregate and leaders data (calculated by the tick). Big Charts has it on an intra-day basis (delayed) as well. I think most of the real time feeds (eSignal and WOW for sure) provide the data, well, real time.

SI's IQ Chart feed does not provide money flow on an intra-day basis. While they calculate it by the tick it is only shown in the daily view. The feature I like about the IQ version is the ability to do market scans against the database.
