Pravin, Just finished watching Nova. They talked about quantum tunneling showing travel faster than light. The main focus was on time travel, worm holes etc. Very fascinating stuff. regards, Kash

Hi Pravin, I don't think there are any components of a photon(light particle), that are actually observed. A quanta is a energy level and it is not part of a photon really. When an electron goes from a higher orbit level to a lower orbit, photons are emitted. Each orbit level is sort of defined as quanta. The absolute speed is c and there is no way to change it! I think most of the experiments are really psuedo science and I will try to research more and return with more solid proof.(I know my current argument is dogmatic) Paul
