Scumbria - RE: "He told the newspaper that AMD has to cut its operating expenses and
also lower its sales expectations in order to break even.

The newspaper speculates that a row broke out between CEO Jerry
Sanders III and Raza after the latter wanted to sell the expensive fab it
has just completed in Dresden."

It is amazing at how wrong Raza was. I guess he was expecting a price war from Intel, and therefore he wanted to lower overhead so that even with lower than expected ASPs AMD could still breakeven. Raza didn't know Intel's performance in the last half of the year would be pitiful. If he had waited one more quarter, he might still be working for AMD.

Jerry had the vision, Raza didn't.

Scumbria

Sooooo you were a Forest Ranger....kind of like an American Mountie. No wonder you didn't want us to trash the guy who set the fires in Los Alamos and nearly burned half the town down.

Did you design semi chips in your tree hutch? Were you moonlighting as a forest ranger, or as a chip designer?

Inquiring minds need to know!!
