Geez, you sure sound bearish. Are you still in Q or are you contemplating packing up and movin on to greener pastures.

Still in Q. Now longer SLH as once the case, but in top three. Put in a LEAP long spread order for 100 contracts this am. No more bearish about QCOM than when I made a lot of the same points on the threads back in early March. Actually, I should be a lot more bullish long term given today's price.

What you read as bearishness is an attempt to temper some of the unbridled flag-waving discussion thread cheerleading that is based on hope and not a realistic risk assessment and financial models.

Geez Louise we get all kinds of people who can't read a press release with critical reasoning skills, see the acronym "CDMA" in any form and assume it means Qualcomm (this may arise from memorization of the bottom of Qualcomm's press releases), don't try to understand dates, timing, and all the non-technical factors affecting same, (this may be a manifestation of our culture of instant gratification) don't seem to understand how carrier customers operate in the real world, don't have any healthy degree of respect for the competition and how it might behave in the future, etc. etc.

So as a result of this lack of critical thinking on a grander scale beyond SI, we end up with big market disappointments, and I get to read about nuking the PRC (when they'll probably be an early adapter of 1X) and boycotting Chinese restaurants.

Please don't do the boycott, at least not in Round Rock, Texas, where I collect a multi-thousand rent check every month from the China Wall Restaurant!* <g>

*Shameless spam: Best Chinese food in Central Texas. Catty-corner from Dell in Sky Ridge Plaza. Dine in or carry out.
