Don't know of any test that forecasts a failure. Just have to see if the shoulder is violated.

A lot of conflicting chart patterns but no one said this would be easy. We have a bullish breakout on AXP if it holds, we have a bearish wedge forming on WCOM and I am getting some by signals on many of the old tech favorites. ( Just e-mailed you some charts)

Most of my stuff on teh daily shows us near sell territory but not quite yet and if this is indeed an important bottom, my stuff often gives false buy signals since the move up off a bottom is often strong. I personally don't think that is the case here but just something I need to keep in mind. I think we head down for a spell later on but like I said, I think the bias is a bit positive here as they don't want a "tank job" before the End of quarter statements go out. Once that happens, it is open season again and we can go anywhere, probably down if the interviewer I posted last night is right and we are getting another full point in hikes.

News should be out any minute so got to run and find it so I can get off to work.

Good Luck,

Lee
