BOTTOM LINE...QUALCOMM GETS PAID!Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK -- Some $60 billion in contracts expected over the next few
months in Europe is one more sign of tremendous earnings potential in the
wireless sector, Salomon Smith Barney analyst Alex Cena said.

The contracts will be awarded to such suppliers such as Nokia Corp.
(NOK) and L.M. Ericsson Telephone Co. (ERICY), all of which will have
to pay royalties to Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM), Cena told CNBC-TV in a
joint interview with PaineWebber analyst Walter Piecyk.

"Things look great for both operators and equipment companies," said
Piecyk, whose top wireless stock picks are Nextel Communications Inc.
(NXTL) and Motorola Corp. (MOT). Nextel has a strong business in
South America, particularly in Brazil, and its cash flow multiple trades at
half of its value or less, he said. Motorola also offers "exceptional value,"
and may beat earnings estimates, he said.

As people shift their Internet usage patterns to accommodate mobile
communications devices, "many wireless operators could challenge the
stranglehold that guys like AOL (America Online Inc.) and Yahoo! Inc.
(YHOO) have on the net," Piecyk said.

His top wireless picks are Nokia and Ericsson.
