Blue, Agreed, no financial gain if data is "lousy". Conflict is only in getting a drug approved with lousy data for financial gain. Let Bax/Xoma be the one's to insist the data is good, great, fabulous! In writing, in a peer reviewed journal! Then they will get the appropriate support.
Our politicians are only able to decipher what they want to when politically motivated to do so. It would be skipping a step imho to release raw, unanalyzed, un-interpreted data.
Yes, give Neuprex ASAP to the afflicted kids under compassionate use if possible. Same as with Aids or Cancer.
Theoretically, the FDA approves drugs that are proven safe and effective without politics (at least we have the safe part nailed). In reality, we may know differently.
