Gersh,

The SPX 3-point downtrend line across the highs of March24, April10, and May16,17 comes in at 1445. The June futures show the same picture with the number at 1450. When we failed to break that level this morning, and started selling off just after noon, I thought the rally was over. We closed just above there on the end of day flurry, but it could hold us down tomorrow. Who knows. Above that the last peak at 1469 or (1470 on my charts) looks like the next level. Breaking that one would be a big deal I think. On May24 we made the third point of a long term uptrend line going back to the October low, with a touch on April14. This could re-establish as the prevailing trend if we break above that 1470.
