This info is definitely not published and for obvious reasons. When you are trying to cover up a huge problem, you don't go to print about it.

That said, it is interesting to note the comments made by the company re .18 um situation in Tuesday's commentary (see Les' URL from yesterday). Almost an admission there.

This is info that is acquired by putting bits and pieces of a puzzle together and then going on "fishing expeditions". Frequently if one has part of the story, the rest of the story comes out into the open in conversations with knowledgeable folks. Then it is a matter of verifying the situation through other sources. Call it detective work.

The net often provides early clues and/or pathways to investigate.

It also helps if one has a bunch of sources in the industry. I am amazed by how often competitors know precisely what is going on in a particular company (specialized niches usually have remarkably efficient "grapevines".
