MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2000--

Datalink Ranked No. 30 in Business Week List; NetworkWorld Ranks
Companies Based on Revenues per-employee

Datalink Corporation (NASDAQ:DTLK), a leading, independent
networked storage solutions provider, has been named to Business
Week's list of 100 Hot Growth Companies. Datalink ranks 30th on the
list, which appears in the magazine's May 29, 2000 issue.
"The Business Week recognition of Datalink is a terrific message
to our employees, customers and shareholders," said Greg Meland,
Datalink's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We're in an era
where rapid company growth is now the expected norm. Our revenue,
earnings and return on capital in recent years are statistics we're
proud to own. This recognition is testament to our own hard work,
ability to lead in our category, and commitment to give clients the
best-in-class storage solutions they demand."
Business Week editors select the Hot Growth Companies based on
their three-year results in sales growth, earnings growth, and return
on invested capital. Datalink's sales and earnings for the most recent
12 months totaled $121.2 million. Earnings during the same period
totaled $6.3 million. Return on capital totaled 51.5 percent over a
three-year average; 1997, '98, and '99.
In a separate report from a leading technology trade publication,
NetworkWorld, Datalink placed among the top 50 companies for revenue
per employee. In 1999, Datalink's per-employee revenue totaled
$880,719, placing the company at number two on the NetworkWorld list
behind Apex PC Solutions and ahead of mega-corporations like Dell,
Apple and Microsoft. Today, Datalink employs more than 170 people at
21 locations in the U.S.
