paul..."newbies"

good point, and a reliable short term trend reversal indicator, when they sell at the intermediate low, attempt to go short, then buy at a near top, awaiting the momentum they are used to.....still far from a confirmed reversal...with patience comes rewards and low risk....
but some folks must prove their expertise on a daily basis.....too much risk and bother!

for every csco, we can also show qcom at 200. how long will it take for qcom to reach a new high?

Paul,
While QCOM got away from itself when it moved to 200 (the momos got in), I think it's very oversold at the moment. No one knows what will happen with China (as evidenced by inconsistent daily reports), but QCOM is in no way dependent on China to be extremely successful in the coming years. QCOM may STILL be another Cisco...given this market, it could reach a new high in 10 years or in 2 months! :-)

I've been adding to my QCOM position during the downturn. If it truly is a Gorilla, it will do very well.
