Thats a good idea.

If the market drops a little today, i will likely buy some options later today.

If it stays high at $85 or so, I will likely wait for the news on employment.

I picked up some INTC puts today - it's a hedge if the market tanks today and could be good as a straight investment if AMD has news good enough to scare some Intel longs.

IMHO, the chipset news was very, very important. DDR is here for Athlon and an integrated (video, network, etc) chipset is also here.

DDR with a Thunderbird is going to cause Intel some pain in the high end in Q4.

A real cash cow for Intel has been the 1U form factor rack servers that it sells to ISPs. With an integrated board suitable for that application available, AMD can now enter that market - where Intel is competing directly with its own ISP customers (and almost certainly infuriating many of them).
