Well here's that TMRK news ...

"Marking a major push to consolidate its status in the independent film world, Lions Gate Entertainment has closed a deal to pay just shy of $50 million to acquire Los Angles-based Trimark Pictures Inc., which produced and distributed the Samuel L. Jackson-starrer "Eve's Bayou," and distributed the Kevin Spacey-starrer "Swimming With Sharks." The companies are expected to confirm their merger Monday, when at the end of business they are expected to make a formal announcement to the New York Stock Exchange. The deal illustrates Lions Gate's desire to increase the scale of its operations as it takes on major studio competitors. The Canada-based Lions Gate will pay $10 a share in cash and stock for Trimark, whose main source of revenue is the video and theatrical distribution of a 650-title film library.(Matthew Doman and Cathy Dunkley)"
