I'm sorry. Perhaps I gave the wrong impression with my previous post. I don't mean to belittle the problems people are having with Cyber. I don't presume that my relative success with their service is due to my choice of ISP.

I know for certain that many of the problems CyberCorp is experiencing could be resolved by development effort.

My point was only that Cyber is better than my previous broker, and I take the risks of their failures into account when I make trades. If someone has a quantifiably more reliable direct access broker, I'm all ears.

Sincerely,

Simon.

PS - The reason I rarely use CyberXchange is that, due to the rules regarding cancellations of SOES and SelectNet orders, the system often gets hung waiting for an order to time out while the market moves away from your price. I've found ARCA much more effective for entries and exits, and if it is liquid enough, Island. If the liquidity isn't there for these stocks, I use SOES directly. If INCA is on one side, I use SelectNet directly. This has turned into a rather long postscript. If you have more questions, I'd be happy to reply with my experiences.
