I couldn't really understand her, I'm not sure she wasn't speaking Spanish. It was all such a verbal salad. On another note, I did not see Donato. Maybe he really took up fishing this time? Or, maybe he is out trolling for more Cuban babies. Best catch out there.

No, she said "she still believes Elian won't be returned to Cuba.

``I hope the laws of this country favor him and give him the opportunity to seek asylum,'' she said. She also hopes the courts will order Elian's father to allow her and her family to visit the boy.


Either she can't read or understand the English in the court decision, or she is living in a fantasy world. Or both.
