Couldn't agree more. If the danger became real, and energy cheap, Sahara, Australia, Saudi Arabia could all be transformed into tropical forests if we brought enough water, and these could suck a lot of carbon dioxide from the air.

Rather than go thru the expense of terraforming the Sahara, the Outback etc, wouldn't it be cheaper just to save the rainforests we already have?
