FWIW, I do not think that you can really compare ADIC and EMC. They are both in storage, but it is tape systems vs. large hard drive (apples vs. oranges).
EMC has been a clear leader(and will continue to be!). ADIC is much smaller and there are more companies selling the same type of products. This kind of prevents a single company from becoming "an EMC" in the tape storage area. Low barrier to entry, witness the recent IPO listed here.

On that DD thing, one key is insider trades, or lack of thereof. biz.yahoo.com

big contract to almost 2 years ago, when Van Oppen dumped most of his holdings, the bought back a LOT cheaper.
quote.yahoo.com

This year, nobody on the inside sold when the stock was overbought. Watch them for future activity - pretty good indicator.

May not have done this perfictly. Could have bought a little cheaper. Could have used some margin. If I coulda woulda shoulda... (anybody remember the Lou Rawls number?)

But a 33% gain in less than 2 weeks is something I'LL settle for anytime. Grin time, Scott
