Re: 2-2-2 PC133 DRAM

I am surprised to see the announcement now. The parts have been available for more than a month. At least the 64Mb parts.

Hi Jdassoc; Actually, I saw that PR when it came out. This means that there will be another, higher grade, standard SDRAM for Tomshardware to compare RDRAM to. Tell us when you see them available in the channel. I can't imagine that the benchmarkers will put off testing it for very long.

The real news I'm waiting for should come out June 5, when some DDR machines should be demoed in the far east. We should see benchmarks for new DDR based chipsets and motherboards out then. There should be some obviously ready for mass production motherboards also. If not I will be disappointed. (But not devastated, the summer still has a long ways to go.)

P.S. Jozef Halada saw 2-2-2 133MHz SDRAM a month ago, and when I first saw the Micron ad, I thought that I had too. But then I realized that I was actually thinking of 2-3-3 133MHz parts, which have been available for some time.
