Re: "Speaking of Option authorizations, I just found out that the lame DLJ Direct doesn't allow the buying and selling of calls in an IRA account, only covered calls. I guess I will have to move my account. Any suggestions for a more flexible discount brokers?"

I don't think anybody allows any call trading other than covered calls. Under certain circumstances Schwab allows Put writing against a cash balance but that's all I know of.

Anyone else??

OT, Joe RE: Options in IRA Accounts

I read elsewhere (AMD thread on TMF?) that Fidelity might allow more options activity within IRA accounts. I would be interested in what you learn as I may decide to add options to my portfolio (which is an IRA) someday (after some paper trading and much reading).
