Charlie, I stop and smell the roses every time I see them. Really, truly, honestly, literally, physically, I love to smell the roses. Now, I think you are reacting to my assessment of your fellow travellers, who, I have never made any bones about, I think are loathsome individuals. They are about as far from roses as I can imagine. If you think they are roses, that comes as no surprise to me. From my perspective, your judgment, with respect to your peers, is flawed, and unreliable.
