Thanks chic. I can write covered calls just not naked calls or puts. I've had several limit orders to sell 1 covered call (with 180 shares that's all I can write, I
probably should buy another 20 shares when I get the money)
get canceled at the end of day. With only one call the
commission eats in to my profit too for to far out of the
money short term options, but I am too bullish on AMD to
write sort term in the money or long term covered calls. I put down zero experience with options and 3 years exp. trading stocks (which is true if you count mutual funds) and I got LV2 options privileges no problem. I was just wondering how long I would have to wait for LV3. If age matters I will be 32 soon. If AMD shoots up in June due
to the Thunderbird announcement it will be a nice birthday present for me.
