Chuck,

I think I am starting to beat a dead horse here, but here is what my conversation with Gateway, COmpaq or HP would be like.

JH: We have 0.1x 800 MHz parts at $200, 0.8x 900 MHz parts for $250 each, 0.1x 1 GHz parts at $800

OEM: But I need 700 MHz part.

JH: We don't offer that part. You can buy Coppermine 700 MHz for $200, or you can take our 800 MHz parts for $200.

OEM: Ok, I will take that 800 MHz part instead. But I need .7x of my purchase to be 800 MHz parts, .2x 900 MHz and .1x 1 GHz

JH: we can sell you than .1x 1GHz parts, .1x 800 MHz parts, and .2x 900 MHz parts. No problem. If you want the remaining .6x 800 MHz parts, you can go to Intel and maybe they will sell you some for $350. Or you can take our 900 MHz parts for $250

OEM: Ok, I think I will take those 900 MHz parts from you. I hear De Supply is exceeding De Demand for those parts at Intel.

JH: Great doing business with you guys. Our distribution will probably move up 100 MHz next month.

Joe
