Yes ... largely i agree here ... it was late, and i'd had a few, didn't really flesh out the thought ... going dancing now, so not tonight either -g- .... but briefly - i've seen a couple of valiantly struggling reformers turn into corrupt little dictator types inside of very few years ... thinking of one in particular, he has become the very sort he railed against ... and i don't know what else he could have become, as he is only doing what the people around him expect ... [this is from very local politics, which is played dirty everywhere] ... it's just the system, ingrained in the culture ... it is changing, but the change gets announced a lot more than it gets realised ... still, over decades the increased transparency and honor in dealing is enormous, and it will continue ... mobility of people is valuable here, they come back with stories of how things are done better elsewhere ... the best education is travelling, imho.
