mishedlo,

What prices were these options and why not a narrower range?
Likelyhood is both are worthless - right?
However huge potential right?

The puts were $1.50 and the calls were $2.50.

I bought the big spread because I didn't want to spend more than $3.00 on any of the options.

I figure the worst I will do is break even. No doubt RMBS will make a big move next week, and one or the other will double in value. On the other hand, the upside potential is huge.

1. Suppose DDR benchmarks beat DRDRAM by a wide margin?
2. Suppose the ITC rules that all SDRAM violates Rambus patents?

Mishedlo,

Interesting day for my straddle. I bought the calls for 2-1/2 and bought the puts for 1-1/4. The calls closed at 3-1/2 and the puts closed at 1-3/4.

Aside form the fact that I made a remarkable paper gain today, it is interesting that the puts increased by almost 50% on a day when the stock was up 10%.

Apparently a number of other people are thinking the same way I am. Hmm.....
