Don't know about printing, my point is brass and bronze will both turn verdigris due to the copper base so you can't make a snap judgement based on that.

Brass was used in the frames for several Civil War era cap&ball revolvers.

I'm not sure about this, but I think bronze has the special quality of making large high-quality castings with few voids. That's what made it such a fine material for colossal statues and cannon blanks.
