The market is weird. It sloshes up, then down. Nasdaq up, Dow down. Dow up, Nasdaq down. Stocks down, bonds up (huh!). Why? They reason is simple- Demographics. Baby boomers the world over are saving money. There are only a limited number of investment opportunities. Remember the trade deficit? Where do you think all those dollars go, into some futon in Tokyo? Trade deficit = foreign cash into US financial system.

RE:"I didn't really like the way the NAZ recovered this week. It was way too fast... I would have preferred a slow & steady come back to the 4000's. At this rate, we could be at 5000 in 2 weeks, what we won't do, for sure. So what will happen? Another bloody fall down to the 3200's?
I don't like it... even if my portfolio really does!"

Rallies in a bear market are often violent.
Everyone wants to jump the gun. Not only that but there is money piling up on the sidelines from retirement accounts.

If would be nice if the market went up and the rest of the economy slowed. Unfortunately it doesn't happen this way.
If the market gets strong. AG will have to hike again.
4000 maybe on this rally, then fears of more hikes will enter the venue. It's a long way to 3100 though...so maybe we don't test the lows again.
