Look at the two reports in which they started reporting with new adjustments, February and May:

Those two reports appear to be the outliers.

Now, why would a government employment report be adjusted in February to increase the unemployment rate by 0.2? After all, they create new adjustments on a monthly basis to adjust down the inflation rate in the CPI report.

I too think there is a slowdown in the economy but don't feel that is reflected in the job market, and may not be till next year. Before then, I suspect there'll be a recovery in spending this fall with the election, Olympics travel, consumer debt having paid down, and the market recovery.
