Hon, OT... They read and comment on our thread for one reason: we are iconic ideals of the unitiated boomer masses who happened to luck into some $ in the bull market. It's good to understand the psychology of the masses, because then you can use them as contrarian indicators when you set your positions. So it's really part of the armementarium of the seasoned trader; in doing your daily research, you need to check into CNBC and check out the Options Box. Also, they occasionally like to talk philosophy in terms of what makes a good trader or a strong ego. After all, the philosophy of life is reflected in the philosophy of trading. :-)
