SAN FRANCISCO, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Bandwidth Conference & Shindig has announced further details of its upcoming event concentrating on music and technology to be held August 17-19 in San Francisco. Additionally, Covad Communications, the leading national broadband services provider utilizing Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology, has been announced as a sponsor.

The daytime conference consists of a series of panels focusing on the interaction between the traditional music industry and new technologies. Participants include Liz Brooks, VP of Marketing, Napster; Ted Cohen, VP New Media -- EMI Recorded Music; Chris Douridas, VP of Music Programming for Spinner, Winamp and SHOUTcast; Albhy Galuten, Sr. VP of Advanced Technology, Universal Music Group -- eLabs; Michael McFadin. On the nights of August 18 and 19, the Bandwidth Shindig takes place. Both the industry attendees and the general public will become ``Shindiggers,'' venue hopping and checking out exciting bands and new technologies at various events around San Francisco. Companies hosting events include Rocket Network, Riffage, localmusic.com, IUMA, GrooveTone, Garageband.com with many more to be announced shortly.

Bandwidth Conference and Shindig organizer Ashli Lewis said, ``Bandwidth Conference and Shindig will provide both the music and online music industries an opportunity to realistically discuss the changes taking place, as well as a chance to demonstrate to the public via the Shindig the vibrancy in the industry right now. We've done away with the stale trade show, and instead have given companies a chance to demonstrate what they do in a real life environment. The response has been outstanding, and the Shindiggers attending the nighttime events are in for some real excitement.''

Passes for the Shindig evening events will be sold to the general public beginning in late June via Ticketweb and other outlets.
