Here are 2 more letters, go ahead and attack away... THis topic is closed all those who so viciously attacked me, I hope you are pleased with yourselves, Have a nice life. As a college student close to graduation at the University of Prishtina in Kosova, I was forced to leave my home by the Serbian police and military forces. At the age of 24 I was the main target for them so my journey to the refugee camps in Macedonia was very difficult, but somehow I made it there. After five weeks in the refugee camps, my brother who was a student in the United States was able to sponsor my family and me to come here to a safe place. Our arrival to the United States was a great event for us. We had heard of the United States as a land of freedom and opportunity, but being a family in a foreign country with a foreign language we had difficulties to overcome. It was not easy to learn a language, find a job, and provide food and shelter for ourselves without some kind of jumpstart. Fortunately, Mr. Anthony Elgendy was there for us. With his network of friends he was able to find me a job, he provided a car for me to help me with transportation to and from work, and he provided rent and food for us for the first several months. I truly thank him and wish him the best. Sincerely, Bekim Berisha ---------------------------------------- Coming to a new country after months of trauma from hiding in the basement from the Serbian police and military forces in Kosova, then from staying in the refugee camps in Macedonia sometimes even without shelter, was a very exiting moment for us. We had heard of the United States as a land of freedom and opportunity where every person has a chance. But, our initial experience in this Great Country was not as pleasurable as we expected. Our son Besim sponsored us to come to the United States, who at the time was a full-time student at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and was working only part-time to make his ends meet. So, with no cash in our hands our financial situation was very difficult. Finding jobs was just as difficult because of our language deficiency. Employers were not willing to take in two employees with whom they could not communicate. But, with the help of Mr. Anthony Elgendy things became much easier. He was able to provide a place for us to live by helping us pay the rent, he provided food for us, and he provided a car for our oldest son to help us with the transportation. With his network of friends he was even able to find us jobs close to our home. Now, ten months after our arrival in the United States, things seem much better. We are fully independent. We have our own apartment, we have our full-time jobs, we have captured some English, and we have started building our new network of friends. So, basically we provide for ourselves. But, this would not have been as easy without the help of Mr. Anthony Elgendy. We have nothing but great words for him and we thank him deeply. Sincerely, Nazmi and Sevdije Berisha 1334 W.
