Charles as I suggested earlier, WAKE UP! Your on MSFT thread trying to push Unix. There is nothing more needless and senseless a tautology than that!

WAKE UP YOUR TOO INVOLVED IN TRYING TO BEAT-UP MICROSOFT!

I suggest you sit back close your eyes picture a great big UNIX box in front of you and keep repeating; I don't have to purchase Windows, I don't have purchase anything from Microsoft ever!

That's not necessarily true. There are some sites that run quite well on AS/400, and it's possible to run a well programmed site on VMS.

How is a programmer's code more "correct" if he chooses Unix? Half the reason why Windows became popular is because companies were attracted to its programming model and developer tools.
