I'm not so sure about any bottoms here. Perhaps in individual stocks, but in most issues i follow i see bear divergences on these lows, which suggests that if we get a bounce here it will probably be followed by some more selling until we can set up a bull divergence on a retest or lower low. TMAR is bouncing off the b/o at 10 and FGH should bounce off of 8. I picked up some VTS and FLC, but i expect I'll be adding some at lower levels. Hey, it doesn't have to make sense, but the traders are taking us down. One thing to keep in mind IMO. The "slowing" economy as is now being celebrated by the bubble stock lovers, may have broader implications than are being addressed in the mad drive to get back on the dung train. If we start to see signs of inflation and slowing growth (don't look now but the dollar is getting whacked) that won't be so hot for the economy. In the end it will be a horrible set of circumstances for bubble stock lovers, less so for energy IMO. for now they're selling us to get back in the go-go, and underneath it all we may be getting sold on the trigger of recession/stagflation concerns. that doesn't mean that the fundamentals are no longer bullish; they are. but the charts - as we cut through support levels - most certainly are not. UFAB was seeing unusual volume on upticks today. Might be worth keeping an eye on. they certainly are a cheap acquisition target. keepin some powder dry ++ got gold?
