<My net wealth is up 300% so far...since jan 1 2000.>

Surely we are not talking global. In your speculative account, or what?

Especially, I like the last two paragraphs: :)

Nasdaq spikes 6 percent, hits high of session

NEW YORK, June 2 (Reuters) - Technology stocks surged in the final hour of trading on Friday, pushing the Nasdaq composite index up more than 6 percent
as investors hoped that the Federal Reserve would slow its campaign of interest rate increases.

Volume was strong, leading many traders and analysts to put credence in Friday's rally and speculate that the market's correction may have ended.

The Nasdaq composite (^IXIC - news) jumped 226 points, or 6.32 percent, to 3,808, snapping through the 3,800 level for the first time since May 5.
Computer-chip stocks along with technology leaders soared.

The strength of tech stalwarts boosted the Dow Jones industrial average (^DJI - news) by 137 points, or 1.29 percent, at 10,789. Interest rate-sensitive financial and retail shares also showed
sharp gains.

``The correction is over and we've started the summer rally,'' said Alfred Goldman, technical analyst at A.G. Edwards and Sons. ``The icing on the cake was the employment news today and
people are already realising that the economy is slowing down to a healthier rate of expansion.''

``I think both the sentiment and fundamental factors are in place for the resumption of a bull market,'' he said.
