hg, re Brinker, >His followers who took his advise are laughing all the way to the bank.HG48

Maybe and maybe not. When he made his call Jan. 7, he said to go to 60% cash, meaning to unload that % of equities. He didn't specify what kind of equities to lighten up on. If you took him literally and had sold these babies (and they're a LOT better today) you'd be crying, not laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm personally well ahead YTD not listening to Brinker. BTW, some of his other goodies have been to call Intel a trading stock, vs. LTBH; LU and UTEK the opposite, and he's been telling callers that Cisco has a far too rich valuation for as long as I've heard him (~ 5 years). What he's best at, IMO, is patting himself on the back.

horsegirl48,

did you know what Brinker called the Nasdaq when it went up like a rocket after he got out in Jan? "a sector" He refused to call it a Bull market because he was 60% cash, as soon as the Nasdaq went down, he then had no problem calling it a bear market(over and over again).

Are you also aware that Bob has called Intel a trading stock for well over two years now? For a guy who knocks trading, I can't figure him out on that one. Bob also wants the gov't to go after Intel if they think MSFT is a monopoly.
