I too would love to see it. In fact, I wrote a rant in 1993-94 about M$ moving to Canada (actually buying the entire island of Vancouver) to escape the posse that would surely one day be hunting them down. I'm in awe that it's possibly actually being considered. I enjoy Canadian bashing nearly as much as M$ bashing. Combining the two would be nirvana for me. Truly, there are parts of Canada that haven't been polluted with this pesky 'internet' thing. Then too, Canadians spend the entirety of winter in doors, tweaking their GUIs and being the true believer desktop Windows end users that M$ *wishes the regular Americans were. --- The part I don't get goes back to how MSFT's revenue stream is so dependent on the U.S. Federal Govt fine tuning IP law and arm twisting sovereign nations to cough up the M$ tax. Is Canada going to be able to do that for them? --- I'm excited by the prospect of getting to sell that Windows95 copy that I don't want and don't use without fear of being hauled across the border into a Canadian court. --- I think the DoJ should offer the services of the US Military in moving MS to Canada at the taxpayer's expense. I would find that a very worthwhile use of U.S. tax dollars. -JCJ
