jman, your points are well taken, but by the same criterion, the only threads that have the right to be active now ("debate to the nth degree the stock's story") are pmcs and sdli's.

I think the belief here is that in the long run qcom will make people more money than the volatile upswings and downswings of momo stocks.

I try to put my cash into qcom/msft/csco and my margin money into momo stocks which I keep cashing out on upswings.

Anand

<<Many of the Qheads on this thread seem to have a good portion of their portfolio tied up in QCOM.>>

Diversification is for wimps and worker bees Jman! JMHO.

Thanks so much for your input though. Please also accept my most sincere best wishes for a very very happy weekend and very very profitable returns in your many undoubtedly prescient excellent investments.

QCOM could be expected to reach a market cap. of $400 billion or $500 billion (over a period of 3 - 5 years (?)) (if things continue to work out "real good"). (This is not some insane hope, like, for example, having hoped that Boston Chicken would eventually reach $400 billion in market cap.)

But, the companies (you mentioned) whose stocks have done the "knee jerk" up move, along with the NASDAQ, are just good companies moving with the market.

They are NOT in the same league with Qualcomm.

(They are also perfect candidates for swapping more funds into QCOM, potentially ...)

Jon.
