DRAM Market Update
Holden expects memory prices to go up as a result of the Intel CPU price drop. In fact, many brokers are already reported inflated prices on memory: 8x8 SDRAMs have risen to seven dollars this week, up from $6.45 last week. They report increased pricing for 64 megabit and 128 megabit pieces as well.
Holden shares the recent concern that large memory shortages will impact the industry in the near future. Observers expect memory shortages in the second half of this year, particularly with 128 megabit chips.
SRAM Market Update
