Maybe you mean W2K scales better than NT4? Maybe W2K can theoretically support more processors than some x86 *nix? --- Again, if W2K really did scale better than Unix, this is your big oppertunity to make some serious investment gains. With SUNW trading 75 to 100 times earnings, SUNW investors must be idiots. --- Don't believe everything you read from MS or the ZD puppet press. Most people don't anymore. -JCJ

How far down does Win2000 and IIS scale? How many hits per second does a 4MB 386DX 40MHz machine with Windows 2000 do? Oh, sorry, it can't run on that. Linux can. Even the new Linux 2.4 kernel can.

Scalability is the biggest divided by the smallest. The biggest Linux system is approx. 4000 CPUs (Google), and will probably soon be expanded to 6000 CPUs. How big is the biggest Windows 2000 system?
