I think this thread is talking this 12 speed grade thing too seriously. How do we know if it is 12 and do we count Thunderbird 650-1000 whose only purpose may be backward compatibility to current Athlons. Should these be considered as new releases?

Since the branding doesn't change I would contend that the new releases should include all Duron speed grades and all socketed Thunderbirds and not the slotted Thunderbirds that are being introduced as Athlon 7.5 replacements.
