Satisfied with eMachine warranty response:

Last Thursday my eTower 400i power supply failed with one month of warranty time remaining. I called eMachines and a courteous lady asked me to wiggle a few cables while she was on the phone. Nothing helped, so she authorized a new power supply. It arrived the following Wednesday.
I installed [very easy to access] and it works.

I had worried about having to ship my PC to them and much
prefer this way of repair.

Sorry to hear about you're mishap but a spring cleaning never hurts. :-) Used norton web services for the first time on my work computer and ran into difficulties this am. I downloaded and installed a couple of windows updates and a sound card driver and then could not complete the file download on any other update. The two I can recall were a printer software and a logitech mouse update. I'll try again later but I can't figure why some would download and install fine and others wouldn't even complete the file download. Hmmmm...
