There is still enough spare capacity in OPEC to send oil prices down considerably if OPEC should choose to bring it on line. Never forget that the US exerts great influence over nations like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Joan, I think there's about a six-week delay between the price of oil traded in the commodity pits and the cost at the gas pump. The low in oil prices was early April and pump prices across the nation bottomed in mid-May. I'm seriously looking for a 55-gallon re-sealable drum for emergencies in the fall.
