hi gott,

so now it looks like symantec has done away with charging a subscription fee for liveupdate. if you are a current subscriber, you just keep on getting updates for free. and, if i'm reading it right, since virus defs are included in the liveupdate subscriptions, those continue also.

it also appears that anyone can subscribe for the now free updates by registering.

i'm not certain that i have all of this straight, but if they've changed it all around like i think they have, i like it. i was just getting ready to renew only my virus definitions.

somebody straighten me out on this if i'm wrong
