Hi Leigh;
Looks like oil may have a ways to go yet...with OPEC still reluctant to boost production before June 21, the price appears to be gaining momentum here in the low $30's.With the heavy driving season about to kick into gear, the price of natural gas and light crude will most likelt hold this strength for a while yet.

Stratic Energy Completes Equity Financing

CALGARY, July 25 /CNW/ - Stratic Energy Corporation (``Stratic'')announced today that its private placement equity financing has been completed pursuant to which Stratic has issued special warrants to acquire 3,500,000
common shares of Stratic at $0.50 each for gross proceeds of $1,750,000.Gentry Resources Ltd., the largest shareholder of Stratic, participated in this private placement. Pursuant to the financing, Stratic has also issued
compensation warrants to First Associates Investments Inc., the agent for the financing, to acquire options for up to 350,000 common shares of Stratic at $0.50 each for a period of 2 years after closing.
Stratic is required to file a prospectus in Alberta and Ontario to qualify the common shares issued pursuant to the exercise of the special warrants and the options issued pursuant to the exercise of the compensation warrants and intends to complete its prospectus obligations within a period of 150 days after closing.
Stratic will use the proceeds of this offering to fund its exploration programs in Côte d'Ivoire and Gabon; to search for and acquire additional assets in West and North Africa; and for general working capital.
The Company currently has 14,397,622 common shares outstanding, which are quoted and reported on the Canadian Dealing Network under the symbol ``SECO''
