The Canadian energy sector has done well so far this year and "the sector should continue to show strength for some time," he notes. Natural gas prices have been skyrocketing and oil prices are up substantially. Although the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries has increased production, Bradley says supply may not keep up with growing demand.

- Talisman Energy Inc. (TLM/TSE) $48.70 ($54.50-$33.50). The Calgary-based senior producer explores for and develops oil and natural gas in Canada, the North Sea, Indonesia and Sudan. Despite objection to its investment in Sudan, it is a "successful one in a world that is running out of oil." Cash flow forecasts are for $14.03 a share in 2000 and $15.29 in 2001.
